Remember what you were like before baby came along? It may seem a lifetime ago and you may feel that you are a completely different person. The ‘old you’ is still in there, though, and it can be a good idea to go back to some of the things you used to enjoy doing before you became a mum.

 

If you liked cycling, for instance, then maybe you could get granny to look after Junior for a couple of hours a week while you get back on the bike. Or maybe you’d like to try something new – an evening class, perhaps? Or simply spend time with friends or treat yourself to some time to yourself for whatever you enjoy. You deserve it. Time to yourself can lift your spirits and help you feel like ‘you’ and not just ‘mum’. And when mum’s happy, everybody’s happy!
