Has your baby been crying for hours and nothing will settle her? It could be colic: a common baby problem that causes pain in little tummies. Coping with colic can be draining, especially if it’s your first baby. Try not to get too anxious, it isn't your fault and doesn’t mean that your baby is ill. A colic pain usually starts just after a feed, so don't offer any more milk if your baby is upset. How about trying some baby massage?

Or gently rocking your little one and singing softly. Get help from friends and family if you can. Take a breather – spending hours alone with a crying baby is bad for your health too! If you think your baby might be suffering with trapped wind, there are some colic relief remedies you can try. Better out than in! Ask your health visitor or pharmacist about what you could try.
