saying_noAs much as they hate it, all children – from toddlers to teens – need to hear 'no' from time to time, for their sake and yours. It's never easy being the one to say it, but don't fear! By taking a few simple steps you won't have to say it too often.

 

When your little one is misbehaving, try distracting him with something else. “Oh look! What’s that over there?” could be enough to make them forget what they were doing and move on to something else. Say a big "Well done!" when they've been good to encourage more of the same. Most of all, spending time together playing and having fun will keep them too busy to be naughty!
