Baby basketball What you need: An old newspaper A bin
What to do: This game couldn’t be easier, or cheaper! You can scrunch up newspaper or magazine pages into small balls to make mini basket-balls. Then see who can throw the furthest. If your toddler likes this, have a go at making it a bit more of a challenge by putting a bin or bowl a couple of metres away. Then you can both take turns at throwing the ball into the ‘basket.’ It’s not just good exercise – it helps hand-and-eye co-ordination and balance and teaches your little one about taking turns.
