Matching games
You can match things (two bananas), colours (two yellow cars), shapes (two boxes), sizes (two small things), texture (two woolly things), taste (two sweet things) – the list is endless! It’s a real workout for a baby’s brain and you’re helping them link up new words and objects. |

You know that some things are ‘like as two peas in a pod’. But your baby still has to learn it. So to keep you toddler entertained and out of mischief wherever you are – in the house, on the bus, in the park or at the shops – point to one thing and ask them to spot another item that’s a bit like it.
