One step leads to another, and another, and now there’s no stopping your active little one as they make their way through the world! This is when you need eyes in the back of your head, and a steady hand to catch them when they stumble. Don’t worry - the odd slip or bump on the bottom is bound to happen, and as long as you’re close by to keep them safe, mistakes can help your child to learn about balance and co-ordination.
Climbing, reaching out and playing with a ball are all exciting things to do at this stage, so don’t forget to take a ball with you when you go to the park. You could also try games at home to help your wee one get to grips with throwing and catching, like baby basketball or skittles. You’ll have so much fun that when they go for a nap, you might need a lie down too!
