Sounds and speech

talk_sounds_speech2What do you do when you want to memorise something? Or have you forgotten? You repeat it over and over. That’s exactly how your wee one remembers words too – by hearing them said again and again.

So, if your wee one sees a cat, keep using the word cat in different sentences: “Oh look, there’s a cat. Yes, it’s a cat. What a lovely cat.” And so on. This repetition helps your toddler remember the word and link it with what they see.
