Switching on the TV is like opening a big window on the world and there are some great educational programmes for toddlers that can help your wee one when they’re learning to talk.  They may not be the programmes you remember but they can be fun for you too.

What’s more your tot will learn even faster if you watch with them.  If you ask your wee one questions about what they see on the box – "What do you think happens next?" and "Why did they do that?" – You may be surprised by how switched on they are too.
