Glover House is the family home of the Fraserburgh born "Scottish Samurai" Thomas Blake Glover (1838-1911). Visitors can explore a lovingly recreated Victorian House and learn about his fascinating life. Glover is recognised as one of the founding fathers of modern Japan. He introduced modern shipping and mechanised mining to the country, started the massive Kirin brewery and was instrumental in the founding of Mitsubishi, whilst helping to restore the rightful heir to the Japanese throne.
